Fujifilm Superia X-TRA 400
This film recipe was built around the everyday character that made this Fujifilm color negative film so distinctive and easy to love.
Not in the sense of a perfect emulation, but rather in capturing the subtle atmosphere that made Superia snapshots so memorable: soft sunlight, slightly imperfect color, natural skin tones, rich greens, and that balance between warmth and freshness that instantly feels familiar.
That balance is also what makes this look so versatile. Depending on the scene, it can feel nostalgic, calm, or simply honest.
It preserves healthy, believable skin with soft transitions and a natural warmth — even in mixed or difficult light. Highlights roll off smoothly, avoiding the harsh, clinical brightness modern digital cameras can sometimes produce, while faces retain texture, depth, and softness without drifting into excessive magenta or orange.
Like all GrainyWeekly film recipes, this one works equally well outdoors and indoors, in direct sunlight and softer natural light, across portraits, travel photography, family documentation, or everyday snapshots.
The look was ultimately designed to feel complete straight out of camera — creating photographs that already feel like memories the moment they are captured.
Developed and validated on the Lumix S9.
Expected to produce similar results on S5II and S5IIX bodies.

Photo Style Natural · Contrast 0 · Highlight 0 · Shadow 0 · Saturation 0 · Hue 0 · Grain Effect LOW · Color Noise OFF · Sharpness -3 · Noise Reduction -4 · WB AWB · LUT GWFSX400 · LUT Opacity 100% · iDynamicRange STD
*When importing the LUT in the Lumix Lab app, make sure it is assigned to the Natural Photo Style. Assigning the LUT to a different Photo Style will result in incorrect rendering and unintended colors.
